What is the CODEX ALIMENTARIUS?

Most commonly called the CODEX if allowed to be made law will change every Americans life, and not for the better. To understand what the CODEX is about we must go back as far as Emperor Justinian of the Roman Empire.

Rome for decades produced various CODEX (Lat), which means a code or body of law. Blacks Law dictionary lists no less than the names of 6 Roman sources of CODEX that produced various versions thereof. The most notable is Codex Justinianeus dated 543 AD.  What a CODEX in fact is, is a constitutional law relating to whatever the document of intent refers to. Thru ought Western Civilization CODEX have come to mean a grand scheme of law and regulations on a very broad scale. In 1962 The UN organizations of the Food and Agriculture [FOA] Organizations and the World Health Organization [WHO] decided to bring this old name back to use in a grand scheme of food and food supplement laws.  The CODEX is a massive document relating to what they call “Guidelines on Dietary Supplements”. It is managed by the CODEX Alimentarius Commission, which was officially founded in 1963 by the WHO and the FAO of the UN along with various NGO’s but had in fact been active for over ten years before its official founding.

For background we learn that in the last detailed report relating to the sale and distribution of drugs in America that over 10,000 independent pharmacies have gone out of business since 1990. As in banking and retail a massive N.W.O design demonstrating the elimination of smaller and independent business at the advantage of large multi-nationals conglomerates appears to be ongoing. That the government has allied itself with these Non-Governmental Organizations [NGO] is beyond dispute. This in a classic sense is fascism. In expansion of integration of CODEX WHO and TAO have set up NGO’s who began working on standards for food products. In time this has resulted in a partnership between these NGO’s and UN governmental agencies. Obviously the NGO’s interested in and participants of these committees are firms that have a vested interest in the topic, pharmaceuticals. Due to the Food and Drug Administrations [FDA] actions on the marketplace it has become impossible for food supplement sellers and producers to inform their customers relating to health benefits and in many cases of foods even the content of the product being sold to them. This arbitrary action by the FDA is in clear violation of the first amendment of the constitution of free speech. A statement in CODEX claims; “The desirability of international agreements on minimum food standards and related questions [including labeling*] methods and analysis …as an important means of protecting consumers health”. As can be seen in this statement made in the 60’s the plan is not only to bring vitamins, minerals, food supplements but also food products under CODEX.

The controlled media is of no help on this issue neither is the American Medical Association [AMA] the doctor’s labor union. In fact it has become more than crystal clear that the FDA, AMA, and Federal Trade Commission [FTC] have become allied in effort to institute CODEX in America. CODEX is the culmination of the hopes of the pharmaceutical industry and AMA combined with the alphabet soup of American and UN agencies to wrest control of all natural medicines and restrict their use. The reason for this act is painfully simple; if you cannot patent it (Natural nature produced health aids) you are unable to gain market dominance or proprietary exclusivity on the market. By outlawing natural vitamins and minerals the CODEX will increase the profits of Doctors, the Pharmaceutical industry and vastly expand the regulatory agencies of government. It is a clear case of they wins and we all loose. Considering the new internationalist direction of our Supreme Court this bring the most recent act of outlawing marijuana use for medical purpose and private property ruling in line with “Sustainable Development” by the UN into lucid understanding.

While many readers are bored by politics it behooves all of us to pay close attention to CODEX. Your individual freedom to purchase un-patented medical supplements and vitamins is about to be taken away. This will mean that for most supplements and vitamins in any reasonable dosage, you will be required to bring a subscription to your pharmacy in order to purchase them. This CODEX movement accelerated during the Clinton administration; remember Hillarie’s attempt to nationalize medicine? The expanded American version patterned after the German one was to severely restrict consumer access to vitamins and supplements. The ruse as usual was laws to protect the consuming public, and the maintenance of public health. After all the “Public” has been dying from prescription drugs at accelerated rate for decades, it would only stand to reason in the mind of a bureaucrats that non invasive medicine and vitamins were responsible for it. The assumption of all these bureaucracies that only they can make safe and good decisions on behalf of the public is arrogance personified. At about this time the German pharmaceutical industry jumped into the fray with a proposal to classify all supplements as drugs. Furthermore the plan is for the CODEX administrators, who are in fact pawns of the AMA and drug industry to create a list of “approved” [by them] vitamins and to make all others illegal. The European Union [EU] is planning to enforce such proposals beginning in August of this year. This will first of all add the cost of a doctors visit say about $ 40.00 and naturally since competition will now be severely restricted a massive increase on the prices of all supplements and vitamins. Germany, Denmark, Norway, and Austria have voluntarily accepted CODEX. Supplement and vitamin prices in dosages previously available over the counter have risen in some instances by over 800%.

The pharmaceutical industry is more correctly called a chemical industry. Their products are the result of mixing man made chemicals most frequently patterned after natural sources to attain a manufactured good that can be patented and then sold at inordinate profit to the consumer. It is important to understand that in almost all cases the man made synthetic is similar but not the same as the product of nature. Most man made drugs have many adverse side effects some of which have proven deadly for its users. To gain an understanding of just how sever these money grubbing companies are let’s look at some examples.

Just to clarify how this dastardly industry functions let us see what some drugs sell for in other places.

By the late 18^th century science had developed to the point of being able to test food products and to determine if they were save for human consumption. This was primarily to prevent food adulteration, per example adding water to beef to increase its weight. Purity laws can be found to go all the way back to the 12^th century where German beer purity laws were enacted, that are still in use today. The argument by supporters of CODEX that this is the purpose of the intended law is not only specious it is an outright lie. CODEX in its planned format is nothing more or less than to create a monopoly in healthcare products at the profit of government, the medical establishment and the pharmaceutical/ chemical industry’s.

Medical doctors since the beginning of the 20^th century have been trained as dispensers of product made in the chemical industries. They have since the latter half of the 20^th century become nothing but sales agents for the pharmaceuticals. Dr. no longer follows the Hippocratic oath to prevent disease and then to treat its consequences should they have been unsuccessful in prevention; no they only dispense product, and carry out often-unnecessary surgery to boot. CODEX restrictions include: 1) The only vitamins to be made available are in very low dosage levels vitamin C per example are to be 200 mg, Niacin under 32 mg and vitamin B under 4 mg. 2) Any and all vitamins you may be taking in reasonable dosage will require a doctors prescription. 3) Certain vitamins and minerals will be outlawed, CoQ10, MSM, DHEA, amino acids, beta-carotene and others.

Frankly most vitamins consumed by the public are synthetic products of chemical factories, because the natural product is often expensive to harvest. Some of these synthetics are produced from byproducts of refining petro-chemicals, like coal tar, and refined oils, they are not natural products. All of these fall under the rules of CODEX. If all these synthetics were taken off the market you would be unable to obtain any of the supplements you may be using. 

The consequences of CODEX if enacted will be the further deterioration of live expectancy, drastic increases in cost of supplement and vitamins, the removal from distribution of numerous supplements and vitamins, and huge increases of personnel in the FDA and the FTC plus increased profits for doctors and the chemical industries. This proposed law, and make no mistake about it is intended to be the law of the land, will effect all of us even if only the EU enacts it. America is a member of The World Trade Organization [WTO], which has been ratified by congress and therefore supercedes our own constitution. Consequently if WTO adopts CODEX we will be forced to join in and make it law here.

The only good news is that there is large worldwide opposition to the implementation of CODEX. In Berlin oddly enough one of the very view nations to have adopted CODX the Dr. Rath Foundation organized a huge conference in 2002 attended by over 2500 scientists and medical practitioners from around the world. Overwhelming proof of the value of supplements and vitamins in the treatment of thousands of maladies were presented. It was demonstrated that often the pharmaceutical and symptom based approach to illness rather than a cellular one based on natural products is far less effective in treatment.
