Greek traveling professional teachers called themselves sophists; the word derives from sophos and sophia meaning wise and wisdom. They did not suffer from any form of modesty. For that matter neither do our American educators, who appear to be cut from similar cloth. The meaning of the term sophist gradually changed in ancient Greece to mean an itinerant traveling teacher who taught for money. Our modern American educators like their old Greek counterparts leave and left little of intrinsic value to society, being more concerned with their financial rewards and benefits than with the ultimate product of their occupation. Think, when is the last time you read any interesting article concerning any other topic than teaching fees from one of our educators. To compound the problem the general public appears to display considerably more interest in school sports than in academic achievement of their offspring. The ultimate reason for schools is not to play football or baseball but to produce an educated capable adult. We all in this society bear part of the responsibility for the total failure of this process. The in all probability best known opponent of the sophists was Plato. He particularly disliked them for three important reasons: They claimed to be wise. They claimed the ability to impart wisdom to others. They thought themselves justified in charging a fee for dispensing that wisdom to paying students. I don't know about you but I am impressed with Plato, and am confident that he would see our current crop of sophists in the same light. The greatest discord between Plato and the sophists was rooted in the Athenian philosophy which concluded that wisdom and beauty were not just academic concepts, but were in fact rooted in cultural and ethnic roots of civilization. Sophist on the other hand were of the opinion that any concept could be imparted on any individual regardless of their cultural and ethnic heritage. A conceptualization which we are now well aware to be iniquitous. Today at the forefront of our raging kultukrieg we find our sophist teachers pushing Cultural Marxism [CM] not only on their students but on society as a whole. The very queen of that effort in none other than a member of Clinton's cabinet, and former rector of one of our most politically correct institutions of higher learning Donna Shalala. CM is by it's very nature diametrically opposed to everything America, or republican ideals, have come to stand for. It is in fact the process of brow beating society into accepting numerous apparitions which are in total conflict with everything our western civilization and culture stands for. CM is the vehicle by which all efforts to destroy our civilization are vested. The blatant effort to make homosexuality accepted as a mainstream deed, the bulk Feminization of society, the destruction through Feminization of our military, the continual vilification of all white males, these are the fruits of CM. The very fact that the most aggressive pushers of this process are lesbians gives one pause to reflect as to why these perverts have been granted such extraordinary power in our culture, and government. Sophist you see are primarily and above all Levantine in character. This fits in well with our present self serving hedonistic and materialistic culture. With the elimination of ethics, morals, and religiously based teachings, we are sinking into an ever expanding sewer of self produced crap. Pope John Paul II stated this most clearly: "As History demonstrates, a democracy without values turns into open or thinly disguised totalitarianism." It is clearly visible that we can not allow our nation to continue in this moral and spiritual decline. Distrust of our fellow citizens, government, and all institutions of state will be the outcome. The leadership will attain dictatorial powers. Our present presidential dilemma is a direct outcome of what our educators have been pushing down our populations gullet for decades. Consider that a majority ( we are informed ) of our fellow citizens are apparently of the opinion that perjury, subornation of perjury, withholding evidence, obstruction of Justice, wholesale distruction of evidence, adultery, accepting gifts, soliciting funds from government offices, stealing confidential police records, unwarrantedly prosecuting innocent people, and having the IRS audit all political opponents, are not grounds for impeachment of an executive. Our biblical teaching informs; " Let him without sin cast the first stone" This in fact is the whole and entire defense of the CM crowd. This issue is neither religious nor is it political, it is societal. If we as a nation plan to survive into the next millennium we had better as they say straighten out our act and do so promptly. The entire philosophy of this crowd can be explained in one of their slogans; "If it feels good do it !" Understand that these people do not differentiate; there is no right or wrong, all of society and action is colored gray. Such an omission of virtue and values is disastrous for any society. It leads to dismemberment, and eventual political totalitarianism. Without any moral bearings it becomes impossible to trust anyone. If perjury, and obstruction of justice, never mind treason are accepted from national leaders, then it follows that such acts must also condoned by individual citizens against the state and one another. This situation may be called moral relativism, the acceptance of all acts which do not immediately in appearance harm another are acceptable by society. This is simply not true. All acts, be they personal or group related impact on others, and if executed by a leader they impact all of society. We are at a juncture where most of our fellow citizens act in a self indulgent manner of personal advantage. Society and fellow citizens are engorged in an orgy of financial and materialistic self gratification. There are no rules to live by only rules of self benefit. No-where is this more apparent than in academia. The very people who are supposed to be our moral social anchor, are in fact the ones who demonstrate all the worst characteristics of our society, Geed, Tenure, Sabbaticals, Grants, extraordinary Vacations, the process of having others teach their classes, perks beyond any reason, but worst of all total silence in the sphere of social morality and ethics. The concept that all cultures are of equal value is one of
the falsifications of fact by proponents of CM. An Australian
aborigine does have a culture from which we can learn something,
but to intimate that any such value derived from a stone age
culture is equal to western civilization is beyond the pale.
The correct argument of western civilization is that we seek
the truth, our sophist educators are uninterested in the truth,
their primary interest is vested in the eloquence of their arguments
along with any possible materialistic gain derived therefrom.
Our modern Sophists structure their arguments in the very same
manner as those in ancient Greece in that they totally ignore
the issue and attack the opponent in some personal totally unrelated
to the vain pronouncements. It is an undeniable fact that modern
educators are not concerned with the truth but with imparting
on society the idea to restructuring society based on some goofy
all encompassing world view as provided by the elite's. They
question and attack our way of life, laws, and religions, with
unrelenting fervor. They do this mostly through our children
whom they have not adequately prepared to counter their arguments.
Thus they make themselves out to be [ fortunately only in their
own minds] our intellectual superiors. It goes without saying
