I have desired to write an article on Islam for some time, mostly because the majority of Western educated peoples have no real understanding of Muslims and are subjected to endless innuendo and misinformation on it. Some of this mis-information is based on ignorance, but most is founded on hate and religious dogma. Unfortunately agents of our government have been some of the most virulent dispensers of falseness on the issue. After 9-11 Islamophobia became a major force in Western but particularly American thought.

Islam is the monotheistic religion of Muslims that was revealed to them by their Prophet Muhammad as the Prophet of Allah their God in Mecca in about 600AD. The religion is not difficult to understand because it is based on the "Five Pillars of Islam" which are: 1)To profess that there is no God but God. [Allah] 2) Daily prayer. 3) Fasting during the month of Ramadan. 4) To give charity to those in need. 5) A once in a lifetime pilgrimage by all to Mecca and the Cabala. [High alter of Islam] Islam is about 1.400 years old.

The book of Islam is the Qur'an pronounced Koran, which accepts Jesus as a Prophet, but not as the Son of God, it demands monotheism, and has multiple references to Adam, Noah, Abraham, and Jesus, it dedicates more space to Mary than does the New Testament. It is a fact that Islam has a great deal more commonality with Christianity than does Judaism, Buddhism, Shinto's, or Hinduism.

America has a Muslim population of about 8 million making it the third largest religious belief after Protestantism and Catholicism. There are far more Muslims than Jews in America. Islam is also the fastest growing religion in the world. Worldwide Islam accounts for about 23% of the population while Christianity, which is shrinking, is about 28%. There are about one billion Muslims and just over one billion Christians. Jews on the other hand represent a very small segment of the overall population with possibly 13 million adherents.

The Qur'an does not tell Muslims to go about murdering non-believers as has been popularized in America. In fact this is nothing more than a hangover of the Crusades. Muslims believe that the Arch-Angel Gabriel dictated the Qur'an to Muhammad during a prolonged period of time in caves above the city of Mecca. The Qur'an depicts Christians and Jews as "People of the Book" thereby affirming that they believe in the same God we do, but simply have a different name for him. This is a proven fact as Allah is the Arabic word for God just as Gott is in German and Dios is in Spanish. It is an undisputable fact that Jews as well as Christians have historically done better under Islamic rule than Muslims and Jews did under Christian rule. Islam has always shown greater tolerance to other religions than Judaism or Christianity.

The concept of calling for the destruction of the "Infidels" does not refer to believers of the "Book" but rather of idolaters who are not monotheists. Islamic fundamentalism as Christian and Jewish fundamentalism is not based on current religious interpretation of the beliefs but rather on ancient mid-evil perceptions. In all three cases they are wrong ideology based on false assumptions. These religious concepts are dogmatic and contradict actual religious teachings as understood today.

It has become a modern dogma that Islam is backward, and based on a system of believes that are outdated. This is exactly the point that is ill conceived by Christians and Jews alike. Christianity has in the 19th and 20th centuries undergone an expansive revision related to the age of enlightenment and an evolution toward human secularism while Judaism has become "Reformed", i.e. secularized. While many in the West view this as good, I strongly disagree.

Our present Western ideology is not only faulty; it has resulted in a society that has no morals or ethics. Today's Western youths are factually incapable of discerning the difference between right and wrong. Our entire society is on the verge of collapse due to this very fact. We have crime rates fifty and more multiples of those in Islamic nations. While Islam punishes criminals we pander to them, so we have become overrun by crime. Our judiciary that consists over 90% of secular humanists has given us new interpretation of law relating to a myriad of issues. Most of these are wrong being un-based in our Christian heritage or our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Reformed Jews and zionists have introduced the false concept of Judeo-Christian ideology. The gulf of variance between Judaism and Christianity is enormous, and is best explained by the Old Testament (Torah) "an Eye for an Eye, and a tooth for a tooth" versus the teaching of Christ "to turn the other cheek".

It is important to be aware of these issues because terrorism against America is strongly related to a very different topic. Two issues, and only two-cause terrorism. The assault against America is not founded in Islam, but rather on our ideology of social as well as governmental issues by which we are attempting to ram down the throats of Islamic nations our convoluted social systems. They do not want and are not interested in opening their societies to the corruption of pornography, prostitution, and crime and free trade. Pornography was one of the first items to be allowed in Iraq after we took over. So the first issue relates to our overt as well as covert actions in undermining Islamic ethics and morals. The second issue is our unrelenting one-sided Middle East policy. While we give lip service to Islamic nations we provide Israel all the armaments that they use to support and expand their 33-year occupation of Palestine. Israel, which is a socialist theocracy, uses American helicopters, tanks, guns, rockets, missiles, and jet fighters in their iron-fisted occupation often against civilians. Israel is the only nation in the world who commits state terrorism and admits it. Israel has the largest W.O.D. arsenal in the entire Middle East. Israel has repeatedly ignored UN sanctions and American sponsored peace initiatives and is presently expanding zionist settlements in Palestine in direct opposition not to do so (signed treaty) in the last peace accord. And that is the second reason for terrorism against us.
