Kosovo
by Dr. Adrian H. Krieg

" If there is another war in Europe, it will come out of some dammed silly thing in the Balkans." Otto v. Bismarck 1815-98 It did ! and still is !

"This issue has nothing to do with the propagandized words Ethnic Cleansing if it did we would be in the Sudan where 1.9 million Christians have been murdered. That is more than the combined totals of Rwanda 800,000 , Bosnia 300,000 , and Kosovo 1,000 combined. The difference is that in the Sudan it's black Christians.

It is more than obvious that each of our past bombing experiments have either failed completely, or resulted in the replacement of a new tyrant for an old one. A.H. K.

The Facts:

Kosovo is a provincial part of Serbia, and has been for the last 600 years. Serbia lost control of Kosovo in 1389 to the Ottoman Turks regaining it when the Ottoman empire collapsed. The last time Kosovo was independent was briefly in the thirtieth century. Like New Hampshire is a state of America, Kosovo is a state of Serbia. It is approximately 70 by 70 miles in size. The war in Kosovo is a civil war. NATO by it's charter is strictly forbidden to interfere in domestic squabbles of member or non member states. Kosovo is not a member of NATO. The only NATO member in the Balkans is Greece. America's president is forbidden by our constitution of instituting war. Bombing a nation without a declaration of war is an act of state terrorism, and war. The KLA

[ Kosovo Liberation Army] our principal ally in the region, was until a few moths ago listed as a terrorist organization by the US State Department. The KLA finances it's self as the largest drug producing and transport organization in the Balkans, and in transporting illegal immigrants to Italy from Albania. At no time in man's history on earth has bombing anyone caused peace. I give you Libya, and Iraq which we continue to bomb daily. Kosovo is the most mineral rich portion of the Balkans. They have large deposits of oil and natural gas, as well as the best anthracite coal in Europe. Untapped natural resources values are in excess of $ 5 trillion. At present the major source of income in Kosovo is drugs. It was president Wilson, another utopian idealist, who was one of the originators of the concept of ethnic nationality. These mawkish ideas re-arranged the borders of the Balkans after the first World War and were at least in part responsible for the second World War.

The History:

Kosovo is part of Yugoslavia it is the religious center of the Serbs containing over 1300 churches and monasteries. Marshall Tito the communist dictator ( during and after the second world war) of Yugoslavia wanted to reduce the power of the Serbs in Kosovo. He did this by allowing over 600,000 poor and uneducated communist Muslim Albanians to settle in Kosovo. These Muslims began as they gained majority a systematic persecution of Christian orthodox Serbs, who were now in the minority. Thus through de-stabilization Tito was able to maintain his dictatorial power. At the time before the present conflict, Kosovo consisted of about 200,000 Catholic orthodox Serbs and 2 million Islamic Albanians. Approximately one million Albanians have now fled Kosovo. Albania was always an independent state with no political or social connection to the Yugoslav community. What the Serbs are doing now, to the Albanians in Kosovo, is the same thing that was done to them under Tito, and up to the present time. The KLA is known as the Albanian Mafia in the Balkans. Persecution of Serbs in Kosovo reached it's zenith in mid 1980. In April of 1987 Milosevic [ who by the way was elected by a 67% plurality] said " No one will be allowed to beat (Serbs) you" on the occasion of a visit to Pristina. The KLA has been brilliant in exploiting America, and NATO, to fight its air war; cloaking themselves in a mantle of freedom fighters, when in fact they are drug dealers, and Albanian military. For reasons to vague to be considered America has chosen Islamic fundamentalists and drug dealers to support in their effort to attain autonomy, in Vietnam, Nicaragua, and now Kosovo. We, that is our State Department has supported Islamic fundamentalists in Iraq, Sudan, and Afghanistan. Why our government has chosen to champion the Muslim cause against Christians in the Balkans remains a mystery. The Muslim majority in Kosovo come from Albania, a Muslim majority nation, whose anarchy they do not wish to rerun to. If they indeed want home rule then they should return from whence they came.

Moral questions:

The bombardment of targets (mostly civilian) in Serbia in an effort to force Serbs to relinquish their over six century custody of part of their nation, is immoral, wrong, illegal, and unproductive. Newscasts on American TV and radio have been purposely false. In the battle for Racak we were told that scores of Albanian civilians were killed. French news however reported from the scene that "there is intense fighting between Serbian police forces and KLA Albanian soldiers" [LeMonde] and the dead are not civilians but armed KLA Albanians. Finish physicians on the scene supported this with forensic reports [Die Welt] a major German paper, the reports have disappeared in NATO headquarters at Brussels. Similar false reporting was evident in Bosnia in 1992 at the so called "Breadline Massacre" at which TV crews were mysteriously present to view the carnage, which was later proven to have been set up by Bosnian Muslims killing their own for propaganda reasons. This ruse was then used in February 1994 in Sarajevo to force the withdraw of Serbian artillery, who had not been shelling Sarajevo, but were falsely accused by Bosnian Muslims who had actually commited the act. Legally and morally we are wrong. Legally, because the NATO alliance is by it's own charter strictly forbidden to engage in a civil war. Legally because the American Constitution Article I Section 8 paragraph 10 reserves the right to declare war to the congress alone. Even congress could not legally declare war in the Balkans because there are no possible American interests there. Morally, because we are killing innocent people in an effort to force Serbs behavior in accordance with our wrong perception of the facts. Morally, because bombing a nation with which you are not even at war with, is state terrorism and murder. Morally, because our allies the KLA has: Aug.8 1997 [Deutsch
Presse-Agentur] KLA claims responsibility for the murder of two Serbian police officers and numerous attacks and the wounding of four civilians. Sept 17 in a series of attacks on Serbian police stations scores of Serbian police were injured 13th to the 17th. [KLA communiqué] Nov 26 1997 KLA claims to have been responsible for the shooting down of a civilian aircraft of Yugoslav airlines near Pristina. [AP] Jan. 1998 KLA claims responsibility for the murders of two Serbs and a Albanian loyal to the government. [Amnesty International] KLA kidnaps Novak Sijovic Stananisa Radosevic and Rosa Radosevic and beats them almost to death. [Human Rights Watch] April 22 1998 KLA captures and kills three Serbs in Dacinovac. KLA captures the Belacavac mine and kills nine miners. July 19th KLA take 40 Serb hostages in Orahovac none have been heard from since. Aug. 21 KLA kidnaps Djuro Slavuj a radio commentator and his driver, never been heard from since. Three sites are found in Kosovo where the KLA has made mass graves of murdered Serbs 22 in Klecka 34 in Glodjane and four in Klina [Human Rights Watch] OSCE observer Jan 8, 1999 in violation of cease fire the KLA ambushes Serb solders killing three. Jan. 22, 1999 KLA kidnaps five Serb civilians not heard of since. These are our allies ! There are more than enough atrocities on all sides, we have by our act of war placed ourselves in the middle of a barbarous conflict with ethnic, religious, nationalistic, as well as territorial undertones. In the previous five years of the Balkan conflict there were a total of 20,000 refugees per year. Since the start of the NATO campaign six weeks ago there are over one million refugees. A basic question is: Will American and NATO bombs result in a free society in the Balkans ? This may be answered by a test. Which of the following counties bombed by America resulted in a democratic or republican form of government ?

China 1945-46 Korea 1950-53 China 1950-53

Guatemala 1954 Indonesia 1958 Cuba 1959-60

Guatemala 1960 Congo 1964 Peru 1956

Laos 1964-73 Vietnam 1961-73 Cambodia 1969-70

Guatemala 1967-69 Nicaragua 1980s Libya 1986

El Salvador 1980s Panama 1989 Iraq 1991 to present

Bosnia 1995 Sudan 1998 Afghanistan 1998

Yugoslavia 1999

Answer: None () Zero () not one () A whole number between -1 & +1 ()

The military reality:

The Balkans is the most violent place on earth. The longest time of peace in the Balkans was under Roman rule from 200 BC to 500 AD. They ruled with an Iron Hand. Since that time there has been either total or sporadic war in the Balkans without pause. That is for about 1500 years. The last time someone attempted to gain control of the Balkans they ( the Nazis) were only partially successful, and that was with Croats and other allies in the region. The second world war does give us pause to reflect. In 1943 the Italians, after starting war in the Balkans, withdrew from the Balkans surrendering all their weapons to Tito. The Germans expanded their role by bringing in the 7th Mountain SS division Price Eugen a premium fighting force of the war. They chased Tito all over Yugoslavia. They then developed from the Chetniks ( the Croat German allies) three more SS divisions, plus 200,000 Croat regulars. A Cossack ( white Russian) cavalry corps was also deployed. In 1944 a Waffen SS paratroops unit was also employed. By October 1944 the Germans had 500,000 troops 26 divisions in the quagmire that was the Balkans. When it was finally over Tito the Butcher murdered 80,000 German POW's and over 200,000 ethnic Serbs and Croats who were anti-Communists. The retired NATO general Schmueckle was quite candid in a recent interview; "NATO has decided on a basically risk free military policy in Kosovo. This left an air war as the only viable option, a very short sighted and militarily unsound policy." This would indicate that the NATO staff has never in real terms concerned it's self with the history of the Balkans. Had they done so they would have known that no leader in greater Serbia could allow the occupation of Kosovo and hope to survive politically. We have been bombing greater Serbia for months. Our targets we have been told were military in nature. Television stations, political party headquarters, bridges, RR stations, highways, the Chinese Embassy, Hospitals and the Swiss Ambassadors residence are not military targets they are civilian targets. Military targets are munitions depots, military airports, armor and infantry. The media has begun a campaign of emotional entrapment of the public through "ethnic cleansing" propaganda, which is now beginning to convince people that this war is just. No, war is not just, and no involvement of foreign forces in a civil war is justified. Now our Joint Chiefs of Staff who informed us just 5 months ago that we could easily fight a two front war are calling up 33,000 reserves to fight an air war in a place smaller than Connecticut. Munitions due to all the bombings in Libya, Iraq, Serbia, Afghanistan, and the Sudan are dangerously low. We are short two aircraft carries. We are militarily involved in over 150 places. We are perusing the continuos bombing of Iraq and Serbia. Our military is now smaller than it was in 1938. Or fleet which under president Reagan had over 600 ships is down to under 300. We are as you read about to run out of cruise missiles. Every single military advisor in the pentagon has advised against action in Kosovo. Defense department documents indicate that in order to win a Balkan war NATO would have to commit over half a million troops, and for five to ten years They also indicate the requirement after victory of a occupying army of over 300,000 men. Neither America nor any of the NATO members are willing or able to do this. We are now militarily engaged in Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia, and Montenegro, and we have forward troops in Albania. The conflict is rapidly expanding. Underground reports and Serbian news photos indicate that NATO has lost scores of aircraft including: Apache helicopters, Stealth fighter, Tornado's, A 10's, as well as over fifty un-piloted drones. Our wonderful "Smart Weapons" which are operated and targeted by idiots have done little or no damage to Yugoslav forces but they have bombed bridges, school buses, hospitals, the Chinese Embassy, as well as thousands of refugees. When ground troops are deployed our liar president will call them Peacekeepers. First he told us 100 planes, we now have over a thousand, then he said no ground troops, we already have ground troops all over the Balkans. As you read the fighting is spilling into Albania, Montenegro, and Macedonia. Greece, Turkey, Poland, and Russia have their military on heightened alert, some have increased troop border concentrations. Albanian military has now admitted that they are training KLA officers 2,300 are enrolled in a officer training course at a secret base in Albania, all are Muslims. This is in fact an invasion of Kosovo by Albanian troops disguised as KLA "freedom fighters". Among them may be found the "Atlantic Battalion" a group of American volunteers. [Washington Times Report]

The Rapidly spreading conflict:

Russia: Russian volunteers to Serbia now number over 1,500. According to the Duma's Security committee 70,000 Russian volunteers have signed up to "fight against NATO aggression" Chechnya and Tatarstan are offering volunteers to fight with the KLA. They state that they want to stop further "ethnic cleansing" of Muslims in Kosovo. American volunteers are also reported as engaged with the KLA. Russia is building up it's military, spending which is up $ 2 million in the last five weeks, they are de-mothballing their S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, and are planning to increase their 1.2 million army with several auxiliary battalions. Hungary is reportedly increasing military concentrations on their Yugoslav border, as is Greece.

The Reason:

It must be apparent even to the media that there are other reasons for this war. It seems that every time another major scandal comes over the horizon Clinton involves America in yet another military adventure. Remember when Monica was about to testify ? We bombed the Shifa pharmaceutical plant in Khartoum Sudan and killed 8 innocent people, then we bombed Zhawa Kill Al Badr in Afghanistan and killed 86 women and children and 14 old men. Neither one was either a terrorist operation or in fact had anything at all to do with terrorism. It did get the Monica testimony off the front page. Now, just when the China espionage, super computer sales to China, missile targeting systems sales by Loral who's CEO is the single largest political contributor to the Democrats, and nuclear warhead espionage, would be major stories we are treated to another act of state terrorism by the administration. Clinton ever active in pushing the New World Order CFR plan is actively engaged in destroying our nations ability to defend America. NATO and the UN are the planed military who will defend us, to come to our aid, when we have been manipulated into the next world conflict, which appears to be on the visible horizon. Principal military advisors to the president have zero military experience Cohen the Sec. of Defense is like Clinton a draft dodger, Madeline Not So Bright is barely a citizen. Contrary to plans, and as I predicted the bombing of Serbia has increased death, destruction, and violence on the entire Balkan peninsula.

Congressional dereliction:

From the end of World War II congress has been more than derelict in maintaining the "separation of powers" which our forefathers provided for us in the constitution, so that we could remain as a republic. Without declarations of war we have been engaged in one military adventure after another. All of them illegal, because constitutionally only congress has the power to declare war. The list is long: Korea. Vietnam, Granada, Haiti, Panama, Clinton's actions in Somalia, Serbia, Iraq, are just some of them. Interestingly all these undeclared wars were losers for America. Congress in 1973 passed the War Powers Act surrendering for 90 days their constitutional responsibilities, in violation of their congressional oath of office. America is not the world policeman. Internal conflicts ( civil wars) are none of our darn business. Bombing anyone anywhere has never brought about peace, ever.

American Empire:

America was not conceived as an empire, and I for one do not desire empire status. We appear to have now become an empire. Americas largest exports are now in order of economic importance: Weapons of mass destruction, war, terrorism and violence. Our largest cash export is weapons. We are bombing more counties every year, to no avail. Bombing anyone without a declaration of war is state terrorism. Our entertainment industry's exports of pictorial violence is unprecedented, and our developed video games are about killing an maiming your opponent. As in all empires freedom of it's citizens is being curtailed, while taxation rises unabated, all accomplished by those in power. The ever expanding state monolith seeks to control every aspect of our lives. And we who have a leader of dubious moral character, without any ethics whatsoever hasten to tell others how to behave, how to run their lives and governments, and what is proper and what is not. A nation which killed over 80 of it's own citizens over a tax dispute, [Waco] and was involved in the blowing up of a government building [Oklahoma city] can not claim the moral high ground.

Internationalists Plan:

Yet another consideration is that this war is specifically and artificially constituted, as was Iraq, in order to destroy the last super power. US State Department philosophy has for the last 50 years been the preposterous notion that in order for there to be peace all opposing camps must have relatively equal military power. Thus international elite's are building up China and Europe while simultaneously reducing the power of the Soviet union [accomplished] and the United States [accomplished]. The notion that equally powerful blocks will not engage in warfare is stupid and historically wrong. War is in fact prevented when one single good force is paramount in military superiority, if that force is not expansionist, it stabilizes other forces which are afraid of challenging it or other forces. The UN is the planned new mega force, it will never happen, it's a pipe dream. Most State Department ideas stem from academic utopianism hatched in various American and British brain laundries.[ universities and the CFR and RIIA]

The Price:

This war in an obscure place most Americans have never heard of , in a place where America has no strategic, or vital interests is en-route of bankrupting all financial gains made by the economy over the last decade. Unlike the Gulf war, a major potion of which was financed by our middle east oil allies, we are footing over 80% of the cost. To date the Balkans have cost American taxpayers over $ 30 billion, congress has just approved another $13 billion, we have already lost over $ 1 billion in aircraft and we are not even engaged in ground combat. If we go into the Balkans with ground troops (Infantry) we may expect a cost of $ 180 million in the first year.

The statement that NATO is fighting a war for humanitarian grounds is repudiated by the fact that the situation has worsened a hundred fold since NATO's military engagement.

The weakness of the European union was again made clear by the fact that it was once more the Americans who forced NATO , and through it EC policy.

Germany sees it's self as the EC leader, but the Balkan actions demonstrate that Germany is in fact a satellite of US policy.

The present Balkan war also has an ironic aspect. The assassination in Sarajevo which was responsible for the First World War in 1914 saw the New York Times in a propaganda act supporting the Serbia's against the Austo-Hungarian state. Now in the 90ies they have changed in support of anything not Serbian in origin.

The US State department likewise has flip-flopped they are now allied to the KLA an organization they listed as terrorist a short eight months ago.

This war and the destruction of the Yugoslav economy which is now almost complete will further de-stabilize the Balkans.

Plans are already being made for the taxpayers of the EC and America to sponsor a "Marshall Plan" for the Balkans after this conflict. American taxpayers are not only paying for the bombs and planes, they will soon be paying for the re-construction.

Reconstruction of the Balkans after this war will cost at least $ 50 billion.

There is a political possibility that Serbia (Yugoslavia) will join a greater Serb federation including Belaruss, Russia, and Serbia. This would further destabilize the Balkans, and expand Russian influence there.

Greece opposes the war based on the fact that Serbs are Greek orthodox and therefore the natural allies of Greece against the Turks.

Hungary another bordering country is opposed because 350,000 Hungarians live in Northern Yugoslavia.

This conflict is the worst planned, dumbest act of our government in this century. It is even worse than was Vietnam. It clearly demonstrates the lack of education on history by the people in charge. The only way to resolve this militarily is to send in ground infantry. It would require at least 200,000 men. Considering the terrain we would have to accept a minimum of 5% casualties. The NATO alliance would break up if that happened.
