Dangerous Stupid Moves.

Dr. A. H. Krieg

It has become obvious that the Pentagon as well as

the State Department is unable to distinguish
between friends and enemies in the Middle East.
Comment on the executive is superfluous!

All other consideration aside if you are unable to distinguish between friend and foe your cause is lost. As I will clearly demonstrate in this article neither the Pentagon nor the State Department seem able to understand the simple fact that you don't for political expediency fund your enemies. And that political actions relating to the Middle East by our president defies logic.

For clarity let us understand that the Middle East is partitioned into various religious groups and that autocratic forms of governance serve most Middle East nations. That is not to say that un-democratic governments are particularly inferior to modern democracies, which in fact in the 21st century are also despotic. The variance is primarily in the form of the leadership that in the Middle East is more based on a personality and in the west on a corporate state run by multinational corporations. In simple terms those who have the money call the shots.

In the Middle East the religious separation is Jews, Sunnis, Shiites, with a number of smaller sects and the addition of the Kurds who represent the fourth of the larger groups. Kurds are found in Northern Iraq, and the regions bordering in Iran, Turkey, and Syria. Thrown into this mix were the Bathists who were the principal political party of Saddam Hussein and are also prominent in Syria. Now at various times in the last thirty years we have been allied with the Sunnis, the Shiites, the Jews and most recently the Kurds and the Jews. Since these differing groups do not get along at all it seems strange that we would at different times be allied to every one of them. This simply demonstrates the incoherence of American foreign policy.

The American military and the CIA along with the state department have been doling out cash in quantities that are truly mind-boggling in effort to garnish these groups support for whatever unknown, even to them, objective our government thinks it has. Buying friends was the primary effort of the cold war through foreign aid that we as well as the Soviets came to learn did not work, and never will. Friends are made by trust over extended periods of time not by trying to buy them. There is now a crucial consideration in that these funds are dispersed in one instance openly and in another covertly. Furthermore that some of the recipients of open funding are at the same time obtaining extensive covert funds as well as loan guarantees, which are never repaid. (1) The covert funds are provided without congressional oversight and originate from many various sources. (2) Who actually decides how funds are dispersed remains, for very obvious reasons, a mystery, but as you will soon learn those people should be removed from their cushy jobs for incompetence.

The amount of money largely consisting of cash being handed out is in the billions of dollars. We know that the Pentagon was placed in charge of tones of one hundred dollar bills, three air force transports full and that about eleven billion dollars of that money has disappeared. Additionally the money from oil sales from Iraq, about nine billion, also seems to have disappeared; at least there is no reconciliation or accounting trail to follow. It is not unreasonable to assume that offshore-developed money such as the income from Iraqis oil sales would find its way to these illegitimate transactions because congressional oversight of such earned off shore funds would not be traceable by the Congressional Budget Office. The money dispersed by the pentagon was indexed as the Iraq national treasury, and thus no congressional oversight was made of it either.

The real problem however is the organizations that are the principle recipients of the funds. The Kurdish PKK is listed as a primary terrorist organization on the State Department terrorist watch list. They have been given large amounts of money. The government's poor reasoning is that the PKK is being induced by them to make incursions into Iran and thus create problems for the ruling Iranian clique. The problem here is that the PKK is committed to an independent Kurdistan state, which they envision to be made up of parts of Iraq, Turkey, Iran and Syria. One can well imagine what the leadership of those nations thinking might be on this proposal. In the past Turkey sent 40,000 troops into Iraqi Kurdistan when they became known for stirring up political trouble in Turkey.

The next axis of money, no pun intended, is huge cash dissepiments to Sunnis. Considering that the Saudis are among the wealthiest nations in the world and that Saudi Arabia is the center of Sunni Islam, this seems like another dumb idea. The government plan, if that's what we want to call it, is to solidify Sunni Islamic opposition to Shiite regional power in the Middle East. This is simply an unrealistic goal and can be placed on par with the "democracy in Iraq" fiasco. As the Christian world is separated between Protestant and Catholic so the Islamic world is separated into Shiite and Sunni. And like in Europe the basic separation is by national entity. While some nations like Iraq are mixed others like Saudi Arabia (Sunni) and Iran Shiite) are not. The obvious problem here is that the 9-11 hijackers, we have been informed by our government, were for the most part Saudi Wahhabi Sunni Muslims. Well, if that's actually the case then why are we now funding the religious group who is in turn funding the Iraqi Sunnis and comprise all of al Quaeda, that are attacking our troops in Iraq? Furthermore these are the people who are the cannon fodder of al Qaida that has been identified by our own State Department as the most dangerous of all terrorist groups.

In Lebanon we have together with the Israelis been destabilizing the government for decades, after all that has been part and parcel of the Israeli foreign policy since 1948. Covert funds have gone to the Sunni Siniora government ever since the assassination of Hariri in opposition to Hezbollah. The fact that Hezbollah won the last election under UN auspices and represents the majority of the Lebanese population does not seem to bother either Israel or America. The claim made that Syria was responsible for the Hariri assassination has never been proven and considering the Mossad's well-known history of political assassinations with over 300 in the last few years I would not bet on Syria. It should also be made clear that Bashar Assad the ruler of Syria is an Alawite Muslim a smaller minor Islamic sect that is also unpopular with both Sunni as well as Shiite Muslims and is in opposition to al Quaeda. . The further fact that president Dr. Assad is twice the man that G.W. is goes without saying.

In Palestine the Israeli government collects taxes for the Palestinans state simply by collecting these funds and then not paying them out to the Palestinian Authority they have disrupted the governments ability to function. (3) Additionally $350 million of foreign aid from Iran to Hezbollah has been kept by Israel in what can only be considered outright theft. The total amount of Palestinans money stolen by the Zionist state is one billion dollars as of March 2007. Then in early 2007 Israel announced that they were releasing 100 million dollars to the Palestinian prime minister just before (the by him illegally) called elections. [So that he could buy votes.] This all again is playing Sunnis off against Shiites for Israeli gains in the region. At the same time Israel who had promised in the Oslo peace accord to stop expanding settlements in the West bank proceeded to build 35,000 new Israeli housing units, every one of them constructed on stolen and unpaid for property.

The further neo-Zionist concept that the Shia of Iraq due to the eight-year war between Iraq and Iran in the 80's would support any Iraqi government in opposition to their fellow religionists in Iran has proven to be another fiasco. The Shia of Iraq are now along with their Madi-army firmly on the side of Iran, while the Iraqi Sunni are allied with the Sunni of Saudi Arabia. At the same time the Kurds of Iran, Iraq and Syria are likewise in union. Any individual with even a modicum of knowledge of the region could have predicted these events. It is therefore not unreasonable to assume that the neo-Zionists are sharpening another ax, as usual to Israels advantage not America's the Middle East's or the West.

What in fact seems to have taken place in Washington is that the neo-Zionists developed a mindset of mistrust of everything American. By that I mean the CIA, U.S. Military, NSA, and NSC. And moved their entire operation into the offices of the VP. Mr. Cheney who is after all one of them could be trusted; additionally he had considerable influence over a weak president who had come to totally rely on neo-Zionists for his foreign policy decisions. This has created a circumstance on Disneyland on the Potomac in which control of American foreign policy and military action slipped from the preview of Americans to the control of Zionists located in DC and Jerusalem. The supposed planning cell within the Joint Chiefs of Staff on the Middle East located in Virginia, more than likely takes its clues from instructions emanating from 68th St in NYC, (4) Cheney's office and Jerusalem.

The most serious present danger is the military incursions i.e. cross border military operations into Iran from Iraq. There is traditional animosity between the Kurdish region of Iran and Iraq and the Iranian government. Agitation of these sorts is a precursor to war, and in this case a war we don't need or want. The entire opposition to the Iranian government came into being after the Shah of Iran was deposed; the Shah's government was one of Israels strongest allies.

Iran is a member of the international UN sponsored nuclear non-proliferation treaty; interestingly Israel, which in all these actions is the principle protagonist, is not. Israel has about 400 operational nuclear warheads; Iran has none, so why are we perusing Iran instead of Israel? . Due to Iran's membership the UN nuclear agency the IAEA knows the location of Iran's nuclear facilities. True to their ever non-partisan actions these locations have all been made public so that Israel as well as America know exactly where in Iran the targets are located. The IAEA has repeatedly stated that at the present time they have not located any Iranian nuclear weapons production facility. The matter resolves around the ability to reprocess nuclear fuel and to enrich it, which still does not enable the production of weapons grade uranium. Furthermore numerous IAEA agents have stated the Iranians ability for the production of weapons grade material is at least five to ten years away, an assertion that has been widely echoed in the American nuclear community. Placed in differing terms the neo-Zionist position is that if your nation has sulfur, saltpeter, and carbon you also have stockpiles of chemical explosives, and due to this are to be targeted for a preemptive air attack.

The drum beat for war by Bush the lesser has been dramatically increased by recent speeches of not only Bush but many of his neo-Zionists. On Jan 10 2007 his rhetoric regarding Iran was inflated by the usual mass of lies. He stated that the explosive devices found in Iraq were of Iranian manufacture. This proved to be a lie; again, the devices had been manufactured inside of Iraq. Then shortly thereafter the U.S. Military attacked an Iranian consular mission and captured five Iranian diplomats. This is a violation of Iran's national integrity, international law, and is in fact an act of war according to the Geneva Convention. These diplomats remain in an undisclosed secret American military prison, in continued violation of international statutes and we all know what that means.

Iranian's help missions for the Iraqi population is no secret; they have had a presence in Iraq since the first Gulf War. They are not toting guns or shooting at anyone their principal actions are humanitarian. That is not to say that Iran as a nation is not supplying guns to their Shia coreligionists, after all why shouldn't they?
