The headline read, "Austrian feminist awarded Nobel Prize for stories of conflict". Give us a break, please! The Stockholm based Nobel Prize committee has for the last few years taken a strident step to the far left. The awarding of the Nobel Prize for literature to whacko communist pornography author Elfriede Jelinek of Austria more than proves my assertion. This woman is so far to the left one wonders why she has not yet fallen off the planet. She is a communist, and a recluse. Her plays are so obscene that they would require a XXX rating in America. That is if anyone besides Harvard professors would bother to view them. Her most well known work The Piano Teacher (1983) that resulted in a film in 2001, which has not to our knowledge been shown here. It is a story of a piano teacher who seduces her pupil As usual she portrays men as evil cruel and perverse, and the suppressors of women. The only conclusion I can reach is that she writes from personal experience. Most of her recent plays have resulted in shouting and booing from the audience and massive walkouts of theatergoers.
Jelinek "will not be going to Stockholm" she said, "because I suffer from social phobia". Possibly she is so revolted by her prose that she simply cannot stand to see or hear about them, at least that puts her in the same league as your commentator along with scores of Austrians and Americans. Being a strident communist, feminist, she has found herself in strong support of all opposition to nationalist movements worldwide particularly Joerg Haider’s Freedom Party. So politically left that she withheld all production rights of her plays in Austria so long as the Freedom Party had a position within the Austrian government. At least that will shield Austrians from having to be subjected to her rubbish. |
